I’m Shirley Bond, the passionate photographer and videographer behind Ocean and I Productions.

I have a deep love for the ocean and a commitment to conservation.

My background as an ocean and wildlife conservation photographer and videographer, along with my experience as a free diver and shark lover, has shaped my unique approach to wedding photography. I bring a fresh, meaningful perspective to every photoshoot, creating timeless images that reflect the natural beauty and romance of your special day.

At Ocean and I Productions, I aim to make your wedding photography experience enjoyable and stress-free. Beyond capturing precious moments, I am dedicated to giving back to the ocean. A portion of our proceeds supports marine conservation efforts, so by choosing us, you are also helping preserve our beautiful ocean environments.

Thank you for considering me to be part of your special day. I look forward to creating stunning memories that celebrate both your love and our incredible planet.

For A Good Cause:

Ocean & I Productions will be donating a set amount to go toward research, advocacy, conservation, or education every month to our favourite NPO's in South Africa that focus on Ocean & Shark Conservation.

Our favourite NPO's we will be donating too;

Shark Research Unit - Mosselbay, Western Cape

At the Shark Research Unit, they choose to fight for sharks through generating passion in our youth, conducting groundbreaking scientific research and leading shark and marine conservation campaigns. They hope for more people to join them and stand with the sharks and support their work to fight for their protection. They strive to use all the money we invest into the Shark Research Unit to advance their shark research, education and conservation campaigns.

Sharklife - Sodwana, Kwazulu Natal

Established in 2005, Sharklife addresses the alarming exploitation of both shark populations and ocean fisheries in South African waters. We actively engage the urgent need for research and protection of many marine species.

Their first aim is to develop a compassionate desire to conserve sharks by replacing the "Jaws" syndrome with positive understanding and respect.

Their second aim is to reduce anthropogenic threats to over exploited marine species by increasing awareness and encouraging sustainable seafood choices.

Their third aim is to evolve shark populations into sustainable living resources by promoting educational ocean experiences for all South African’s.

South African Shark Conservancy - Hermanus, Western Cape

The South African Shark Conservancy works alongside government, industry, academia, and eNGO sectors to co-develop sustainable management approaches and conservation objectives for sharks, their relatives and coastal ocean ecosystems. Formed in 2007, SASC has become globally recognized for their collaborative approach to conservation and for their work on sharks and ocean ecosystems. The Shark Academy is their skills development and training division, were they provide exceptional field-based training opportunities for early career scientists and conservationists interested in sharks.

Ocean and I Conservation - East London, Eastern Cape

Ocean and I conservation is our own and will be donating funds from our Lifestyle store to help fund beach cleanups, conservation projects and ocean and shark research.

black & white all the way

I believe black and white photography strips away color to reveal the essence of the subject. It emphasizes textures, contrasts, and shadows, creating powerful and evocative images that capture raw emotions and timeless beauty.

""Through the lens, we capture not just the beauty of the ocean, but the heartbeat of our planet, inspiring a deep connection and a call to protect these waters for generations to come.""
